This is mitigate for some providers w/ 'summary rows', but not everyone wants that.

Most people can split their search into smaller time ranges. We could do it automatically in IDL or SunPy, but that might crush a server

For the WebUI, we shouldn't do it automatically -- more likely to have web crawlers or something accidentially hit it. If we add the 'Count' method to the data providers, could provide feedback to user of how many items they're likely to get back, so we're not blindly sending huge queries.

Alisdair thinks that data should always be returned in date order -- which might be problematic for some of the proxies that walk FTP server trees. (which may be instrument/year/month/file)
