There was some activitiy on this a month or so back -- I went as the VSO representative to a multi-day SPASE meeting, and helped them work on refinements for their 1.0 release. I think we can describe our holdings in their terms, but I need to actually go back and attempt it. (I did a  quick test fit to describe the LASCO catalogs) (note -- the test doesn't parse cleanly ... I did it by hand ... but it has the basic concepts)

okay, I finally went back and made the  lasco catalog example parse
