VSO Command Line Interface

Perl

For those persons wishing to search the VSO from the command line, there is a Perl script, query.pl packaged in the GetData module. This script gives a working example of finding data using VSO, and ordering files, to include transfer negotiation. Programmers may wish to use it directly, or use it as a basis for other automated querying.

IDL

There are also IDL routines in SolarSoft to search and retrieve data.
